Work order № 0001 · Fernandina Beach · Amelia Island · Yulee

Straight answers.
Careful work.

A firm price before I start, and a plain answer on whether it's worth fixing at all. Computers, Wi-Fi, phones and the scams that come with them, handled by the one person you talked to on the phone.

Photo coming: Peyton at the bench, mid-repair.

Peyton · Amelia Island

Home bench, by appointment. One person touches your computer, start to finish.

Household plan

Your household's tech person, by the month.

Call me first when something looks like a scam, remote help included, a lower rate for house calls, and a short report every month. One plan covers everyone in the house and everything they use.

About the plan

What I fix

Every service

Phones and tablets: setup, transfers, email and apps. No screen repairs.

What things cost

Asking costs nothing: tell me what's going on and I'll tell you what it will likely cost. Once I've looked, you get a firm price, and nothing gets worked on until you say yes. If it isn't worth fixing, I'll tell you so instead of selling you a repair you'd regret.

House calls and bench work are billed by the hour ($125): one hour minimum, then half-hour steps. Evenings and Saturdays cost the same. Drop-offs and mail-ins start with a diagnosis ($30) that comes off the bill if you go ahead with the repair.

Every job is different, so the firm price comes after I look rather than from a guess off a list.

Firm price first

  • Asking is free. Tell me what's going on and I tell you what it will likely cost before you book.
  • Parts are quoted first. At my cost plus a markup, shown as its own number next to the labor.
  • Not worth fixing? I'll say so. There's no upside for me in a repair you'd regret.

By appointment. No counter, no waiting room. We agree on a time, you hand it over, and it's on the bench that day.

    Mail it in

Too far to drive? Box it up. I diagnose it, then call you with a firm price before I touch anything.

    Over the phone

For household plan members: you call me first, watch the screen the whole time, and close the helper when we're done.

    About the household plan

Just opened

I ask every customer for an honest review, good or bad.

They go on Google, where I can't choose which ones you see. The first ones are being earned now; until they are up, ask me anything and judge the answer.

What to expect

You call or text and tell me what the machine is doing. I ask a few plain questions, and if I can save you money by telling you it's a five-minute fix, I will. If it needs real work, we set a time: I come to you, you drop it off, or you mail it in. I look at it first and call you with a firm price before I start. Nothing gets worked on until you say go. When it's done I tell you what was wrong, what I did, and what to watch for, in ordinary words. No shop, no counter, no upsell.
